Ecorche: Portrait Anatomy is an anatomy learning app designed for artists, available on the iPhone platform. The app provides a comprehensive study of facial anatomy through 4 layers: Skeletal, Muscular, Fat, and Skin. Users can navigate these layers easily, exploring the intricate relationships between them. The app offers a unique feature called "Gypsum Mode" where users can transform the model into a sculpture for a different perspective.
Additionally, Ecorche allows users to customize a three-point lighting system to study shape, value, and color. While the free version offers observation of the skin layer in default and "gypsum" modes, the Pro version unlocks all other functions. The app features the "Lex" model, created by the talented artist Kent Trammell from CG Cookie.
